Air Quality Updates at MTEES

Air Quality Updates at MTEES

Spring - Summer 2019

The most recent results from air quality testing are in, and they indicate a normal indoor fungal ecology.  Good news!

The official results may be found at the direct link below.

On Thursday, July 26 2018, air quality tests were conducted at Mt Energy Elementary School.  An independent laboratory conducted 20 random air samples and the results indicated that there was a normal indoor fungal ecology.  Good news for the students and staff!  The official reports are posted below for your review.

As you are probably aware, we are conducting air quality tests at all of our school facilities.  On Wednesday, October 11, an independent laboratory took 16 random samples from throughout the campus at Mt. Energy.  We received the official results for these tests on October 17, and all samples taken indicate a "normal indoor fungal ecology" EXCEPT one sample, which was taken at the hallway area at CR415 (Sample 12).  According to the laboratory, the sample was taken at the end of the 440 hall and during the sampling the exit door was opened twice. So, the results are not conclusive of a specific problem.  The lab recommends retaking the sample again before any additional action is taken.  We have requested follow-up testing immediately and will let you know when we have those results.  Thank you very much for your support as we work to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

On Tuesday, October 24, a follow-up sample was taken in the hallway and the results were confirmed as "normal".  As a result, no additional steps will be taken as the school was cleared for having normal indoor fungal ecology.  The results of the testing are posted below.
