Air Quality Tests at MTES

air quality updates:

As you are probably aware, we are conducting air quality tests at all of our school facilities.  On Wednesday, October 11, an independent laboratory took 16 random samples from throughout the campus at Mt. Energy.  We received the official results for these tests on October 17, and all samples taken indicate a "normal indoor fungal ecology" EXCEPT one sample, which was taken at the hallway area at CR415 (Sample 12).  According to the laboratory, the sample was taken at the end of the 440 hall and during the sampling the exit door was opened twice. So, the results are not conclusive of a specific problem.  The lab recommends retaking the sample again before any additional action is taken.  We have requested follow-up testing immediately and will let you know when we have those results.  Thank you very much for your support as we work to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

Air Quality Updates at MTEES

On Tuesday, October 11, an independent air quality testing laboratory conducted tests of the air quality in 17 random locations throughout the school.  All of the results showed a normal fungal indoor ecology except for one sample taken in a hallway area.  The independent laboratory which conducted the testing recommended that no action be taken until follow-up tests could be done.

On Tuesday, October 24, a follow-up sample was taken in the hallway and the results were confirmed as "normal".  As a result, no additional steps will be taken as the school was cleared for having normal indoor fungal ecology.  The results of the testing are posted below.

Parent Survey
parent survey

As a district, we are always seeking ways to improve the services and offerings that we provide to our students.  In an effort to refine our extended learning offerings, Granville County Public Schools is conducting a parent survey. We value your opinion and ask that you take the time to complete this survey. In order to complete the survey, please go to the district website and/or your child’s school website and the survey will be on the front page.

Please be assured that your responses to this survey will be anonymous. Your honest opinion is appreciated. The survey will close on June 4 at the end of the day and it is imperative that we get a minimum of 20% of our parents to respond.
